KLM allows Portable Electronic Devices starting today

Starting today, 1st April 2014, you will be able to use your Portable Electronic Devices (PED) on all KLM flights. This is in line with sister airline Air France's rules on PED which allowed passenger use since 7th February 2014. With the exception of credit cards, this brings the Netherlands up to speed with the modern technological era.

If your phone or tablet computer has a “flight mode” then you need to activate it whilst the aircraft's door is closed. If you don't know what “flight mode is”, then read it as Bluetooth, Wifi and other radio signals must all be deactivated.

No, this is not an April Fool's post!
