British Airways Club World on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner

British Airways luxury sale launched

The latest instalment of British Airways Luxury Sale is now on. Prices are fairly reasonable though we have seen much better fares in recent times, especially for Club World/ Business Class.

As usual you should take a look on BA's low fare finder page for the full up-to-date prices, though not all the fares are discounted. The ones you should pay attention to are those with a big red “SALE” box.

You will need to book by midnight UK time on 8th November 2016. The travel dates for the sale vary significantly, but most long-haul fares go well into 2017, as late as August.

Flights to USA and Canada

For North American destinations don't forget these are joint venture flights with American Airlines, Iberia and Finnair so your flights may end up being a codeshare and flown in the aircraft belonging to one of the other airlines. This brings interesting opportunities with MPM ticketing surcharge opportunities if you want to expand your Mega Tier Point Run earning potential.

Bear in mind that the reverse herringbone seat configuration on American Airlines Boeing 777 planes are significantly nicer than BA's Ying-Yang configured Club World. No need to hop over someone else's legs to go to the toilet!

Intra Europe flights

The Club Europe flights appear mostly on part with other sale offerings. Of particular interest is the £119 each way (£238 return) fare between London Gatwick and Malta, which yields 160 Tier Points. This hits £1.49/TP which is hard to beat for intra-Europe, and a good way to help reach status for the next year.

Other destinations

Miles from Blighty reports of Germany to Hong Kong via London fares in the €1500 range which is fairly reasonable if you need to make that flight, but definitely not one for tier point running.

First Class fares to the Middle East are decently priced too, with fares starting from £1950 return for Abu Dhabi.

Conclusion

Malta is my favourite pick from this set of sale fares, but you can find some other reasonably-priced fares lurking around the Low Fare Finder. As usual, you will need to book your flights on the British Airways Website.
