Historically promo awards offered fantastic value as this combined up to 50% discount with the rather liberal zone-based award chart that Flying Blue used, which grouped Iceland and Israel into the same ‘Europe' zone. But since last year a significant portion of the value has disappeared due to Flying Blue's sweeping changes to their programme.
My pick of the bunch would be the Taipei fare in Premium Economy, with taxes and surcharges at around €250 if flying round trip from Paris. Digging around for cheapest fares comparable fares around the date yields approximately €1600 for the same non-stop flight, which gives €0.019 per Flying Blue point, which is acceptable.
EVA air offer the same route as a non-stop at around €230 cheaper so unless you are committed to using SkyTeam, you may want to just hold on for the next month.
