Win 250,000 Avios + £2500 or 75x 10,000 Avios + £100 with Charles Tyrwhitt!

Charles Tyrwhitt have got a rather interesting prize draw on right now, which had not been widely publicised. There is one grand prize of 250,000 Avios plus a £2500 Charles Tyrwhitt shopping voucher with 75 more runner up prizes of 10,000 Avios plus £100 vouchers.

Given there are 76 prizes in total, my bet is that there is a good chance that a reader from here or other UK/EU miles and points blogs could win the grand prize and sweep some of those runner up prizes.

You need to buy something online, in store, by phone or mail order before 16th July 2017, though as a safe bet to ensure your entry is properly tracked. Their website's banners give the impression that you need to buy their shirts to be entered, although the terms and conditions do not state that.

The cheapest item I can find on their site are a pair of silk knot cufflinks for £5, or 3 for £12 though I certainly do not recommend buying them purely to be entered in this competition! If you know someone in the market for some (men's or women's) shirts, ties, socks, hats, belts, shoes or just about anything to do with smart clothing, then please forward this blog post to them or tell them of this competition otherwise.

Interestingly enough I cannot find them on BA's shopping portal Gate 365, but if you click through via British Airways' own promotion page it certainly shows the offer correctly. You may need to fill in your BAEC or Avios details at sign up or checkout.

Customers will only be entered once, regardless of the number of transactions and number of items bought during the competition period. One part of the T&C seems unclear when combined with the previous sentence, stating

Any items returned will mean the purchase will not be eligible for entry into the prize draw and the Avios will not be applicable.

Which sounds a little like if you buy 100 items in a transaction but return just one of those items, the whole transaction does not get entered. I hope this was not was their intention but that is my interpretation!

The full terms and conditions of the competition is here, though there is nothing more that goes beyond expectation.

  1. Dear all,

What one should think about such a newsletter when you distribute such promotions / possible earnings 1 day after the deadline?!
